Tek Time Villa

Slow down, take your time, and take it all in at this luxurious villa with access to all of the best that Montego Bay has to offer.

Neighboring one of the most famous colonial great houses in the Caribbean and one of the best golf courses on the island is Tek Time Villa.

Sweeping views down to the sea greet the eye from almost everywhere at this beautiful spot on the hill adjacent to the Rose Hall Great House and a stone’s throw from the former home of music legends Johnny Cash and June Carter.

This is a modern, spacious five-bedroom villa seemingly custom-built to welcome large groups of friends and family, and is easily able to accommodate up to 14 people.

A perfect island vacation home for large families

Tek Time Villa is made for gathering together, as the heart of the ground floor alone immediately calls to you to sit and get comfortable, from the main living area and on out through to the verandah and pool.

A sweeping staircase to the right of the entrance brings you upstairs to another open space perfect for game nights and hearty conversation.

Here, the doors open wide to a large balcony area offering views of where the edge of the property abuts the 12th green of Cinnamon Hill Golf Course with its own vista of the course and on down to the sea.

Spacious, gorgeous rooms

From here you can also see a paved path wandering off into the lush, colorful vegetation of the rear of the property which will take you to a hidden over-water thatched gazebo, named by the owner, Loraine Hart, as one of her favorite spots at the villa.

Once you take a seat, settle back, and take in the ambiance, you can easily see why.

You’ll be hard-pressed to choose which bedroom to claim, as all the rooms in the villa have their own en-suite bath or shower and are all large and airy, and yet, each has its own special appeal.

The bedroom at the front of the house upstairs boasts a view down to the sea right from your bed and is even better with the balcony doors thrown wide open.

Two other bedrooms upstairs offer beautiful views from a large master suite and a second bedroom with two large double beds, connected by a small sitting room, which can all be closed off to create a private family suite.

The study nearest the top of the stairs also has its own en-suite bathroom and the couch folds out into a double bed, accommodating two more.

Downstairs offers yet another beautiful private suite option with the large master bedroom allowing you to step out poolside.

Multiple spaces to dine, gather

Ms. Hart mentions a particular fondness for the way her villa offers so many gathering places for meals, games, and great conversation.

The tv room, with its comfortable couch perfect for a movie evening, leads back to the welcoming outdoor setting.

In this case, another breakfast nook is conveniently located next to the outdoor bar and barbecue grill as well as a full bathroom with an outdoor shower just steps away from the pool.

Secluded spots also abound, such as the two hammocks on the front lawn perfect for relaxing and taking in the breathtaking view.

Cinnamon Hill golf course

The property has direct access to the neighboring Cinnamon Hill Golf Course where guests of Tek Time can have the butler book tee times.

They will be given special rates to golf here as well as for the other nearby 18-hole championship course of White Witch.

Guests also have access to practice before 8 am and after 4 pm as well as the use of the villa’s complimentary golf cart.

This quick and convenient step through from the lawn of Tek Time to the 12th hole also provides access to cart paths for those who enjoy going for a run or simply a leisurely stroll.

Fresh island breeze, fresh meals

Tek Time was inspired by the love of friends and family and the time spent together.

A stay here is about days devoted to hanging out by the pool, reading, golfing and just chilling out, as a staff of seven makes sure your every need is met whilst not intruding on your privacy.

Delicious meals including ‘farm to table' ingredients can be enjoyed in intimate nooks or at the large central table and, before and after, adults can retire to sitting areas for enjoyable conversations while still keeping an eye on the kids when the pool becomes the center of loud laughter and games.

Modern entertainment

Entertainment systems with surround sound, televisions, and high-speed Wi-Fi invite you to lean back and enjoy a setting that offers inclusion or privacy as you prefer.

With a ground floor including bedrooms, a tv room, a kitchen, large seating areas, and direct access to the non–slip shallow entry pool, this villa is wheelchair accessible and is an ideal choice for those who may have limited mobility in general.

Beaches & activities nearby

Being in Jamaica, however, the beaches will always call.

Guests have full access to Rose Hall Beach Club and the Half Moon Beach & Tennis Club with full use of their amenities.

Each one is only a five-minute drive down the hill from the villa, and, between the two, you can enjoy private beaches, restaurants, bars, a range of sporting activities, a fitness and health spa as well as nighttime entertainment.

Also just down the hill is some of the best duty-free shopping available in Montego Bay.
