Get your dose of vitamin sea at beach clubs in Jamaica

Get your dose of vitamin sea at beach clubs in Jamaica

Beach clubs, or full-service spots on the beach, are gaining popularity in Jamaica.

These are a great compromise for visitors to the island who aren’t staying in a hotel with daily access to a beach but who also are seeking a little comfort when they want to spend the day frolicking by the sea.

Not attached to a hotel, many of these spots offer everything: food, bathing rooms, bar service, wifi, and entertainment.

You're getting an all-inclusive experience without an actual room booking.

Beach clubs make a great option to hold special events like wedding ceremonies, including the dinner reception; bridal, and baby showers, and family reunions.

Bamboo Beach Club, Ocho Rios

This beach club goes out of its way to make sure the guests who flock to its sands have a day filled with fun.

Entertainment includes games, dancing, and shows.

Food and cocktails are available all day on the mile-long beach.

All you need to do is lie in the shade or sunshine as you please and take in the atmosphere.

Doctor’s Cave Beach, Montego Bay

Montego Bay’s hip strip sees thousands of visitors every year and no destination is more popular than the famous beach at Doctor's Cave.

With a long history as a top attraction in Jamaica, the beach remains just as beautiful as it has always been.

For a small fee, you’ll have access to the white sand beaches, gorgeous waters (rumored to have healing qualities), food, drinks, a gift shop, a pool table, a sauna, a cyber cafe, a gym, and other amenities.

Cornwall Beach, Montego Bay

Cornwall Beach is a two-acre beach club built simply to offer relaxation in the sun while you laze on the beach, swim in the warm tropical sea, and enjoy a day of play.

The beach has a bar, restaurant, and gift shop as well as umbrellas, lounge chairs, volleyball, and snorkel gear.

Also available are showers, towels, lockers, and more.

The entire beach is available for weddings and, public and private functions.

Long Bay Beach Park, Negril

Located on the northern side of Seven Mile Beach, Long Bay Beach is less crowded than Bloody Bay.

You will have to pay a little fee to enter but it's worth it because this beach is calmer and quieter than the bustling main area of the strip closer to the town.

Play in the sand, relax in a lounge chair, have a drink in the bar, or dine in the restaurant.

Long Bay Beach is perfect for family outings and getting to experience a bit of Negril off the main thoroughfare.

Frenchman’s Cove, Port Antonio

Undoubtedly one of the most unique beaches in Jamaica, Frenchman Cove has a beautiful river that winds through the property of lush rainforest vegetation to spill out onto the sands.

A semi-enclosed cove where a river meets the sea, words cannot aptly describe its beauty.

A lifeguard is on standby and a rope is strung across the mouth of the bay as the current can be quite strong and the waves can get quite large and rough at times.

One of the Bond films would eventually be filmed here and today it is high on the bucket list for visitors to Jamaica.

Waves, Portmore

Waves
is a lively public beach venue that offers added amenities for your beach outing, inviting more participation between patrons but at the same time allowing you to just chill on your own if that’s your choice.

Offering free wifi and a nice seafood menu, they are well known for their all-you-can-eat crab food events.

With cable TV, they will also host sports nights, special large events, and parties.

Waves is right next door to Boardwalk and Fort Clarence but it has a different vibe to it, while still offering the signature thatched umbrellas and raw board sun benches along with a beautiful beach for your swimming and tanning pleasure.
