Bob Marley group to celebrate Rita Marley’s 77th birthday at Main Street Rose Hall in Montego Bay

The Bob Marley Group of Companies has once again partnered with the premier shopping village in Montego Bay, Main Street Rose Hall for the official launch of “Easy Sailing 77”, a hybrid birthday celebration for Reggae music matriarch and Bob Marley’s widow, Dr. Rita Marley.

The festivities will kick off on Thursday 12 July with a free, live concert at Main Street Rose Hall shopping mall, titled, “Sailing Down Main Street”.

There will be a performance by Rita Marley’s daughter, Sharon Marley, and other notable Reggae and Dancehall acts including Tanto Metro and Devonte, Nadine Sutherland, and Hezron.

Digital concerts streamed on Sirius XM, Tuff Gong TV

Dr. Marley’s birthday itinerary also includes a digital audio concert to be streamed on Sirius XM on 16 July, and a digital video concert to be streamed on Tuff Gong TV, on her actual birthday, 25 July.

The hybrid concert series, suitably named after Dr. Marley’s 1981 song, Easy Sailing, will include tribute performances and birthday wishes from friends and notable local and international personalities who share a deep admiration for Reggae music and the works of Dr. Marley.
