artMart is an online platform where people interested in buying Jamaican art – pottery, photography, print, paintings, and sculpture – can browse, purchase and ship their orders either to their accommodations on the island or to their homes overseas.

“I saw an opportunity to curate a platform on which visitors, locals, and members of the Diaspora could access art created in Jamaica,” explains founder and entrepreneur, David Hall.

“So many people want to buy local art but it isn’t always easy to find across the island.

"artMart is our way of creating a one-stop online shop that showcases everything from gift-buying craft items to pieces that would interest collectors.”

Hall has served more than 20 years in the hospitality industry, furnishing the two international airports on the island with luxurious arrival and departure lounges.

He's also the brain behind a number of other thriving enterprises in the technology, telecommunications, and tourism industry within the Caribbean.

The best local artwork online

A new concept to Jamaica, the online facility aims to help buyers as much as it will help the artists themselves, many of who find it so hard to get their product in front of prospective clients.

In this regard, and in addition to the artMart website itself, artists' work will be featured across all platforms including the premier online travel magazine Jamaica Experiences and VIP Attractions’ Club Mobay and Club Kingston airport lounges – as well as have an opportunity to display their pieces at the lounges themselves.

Monthly, the website will also feature articles on artists' past, present, or rising stars, gallery events islandwide, local art fairs and festivals, and the history of Jamaican culture to name a few.
