A day of play at Dolphin Cove

A day of play at Dolphin Cove

Few things bring a smile to a child’s face like interacting with the athletic, intelligent, and beautiful dolphins that leap and twist powerfully through the air at Dolphin Cove Jamaica.

Dolphins always bring genuine joy.

And while these majestic creatures are the main reason many people come to spend a day of play at Dolphin Cove, the attraction offers so many more interesting and fun, learning activities.

For starters, it's home to a number of other friendly sea and land creatures.

So, in the company of mommy, daddy, sister, brother, grandpa, and grandma, it's sure to be a fantastic day of adventure!

It's a jungle inside

Not only can you swim with dolphins but you can also have a shark or stingray encounter!

Other animal life abounds in this one-stop encounter with nature. A nature trail winds throughout the property allowing you to encounter iguanas and a colorful giant macaw.

Step through a doorway and have a flurry of tiny, bright yellow birds flying overhead and you can even get the chance to have them eating right out of your hands.

Pop over to the sister park at Yamaan Adventures for a true surprise as you will have the opportunity to ride a camel, no need to head to the pyramids of Egypt for this unique experience!

Dolphin Cove in Ocho Rios & Montego Bay

At Dolphin Cove in Ocho Rios or Montego Bay, various learning adventures with the dolphins await.

A simple swim and a chance to lightly stroke the mammal as they swim by you is a popular immersive experience.

Especially as only a few people are allowed access at any given time, it is truly an intimate encounter.

All throughout your swim, the trainers talk about these mammals, educating their small audience in the pool as well as those seated close by so that everyone walks away with a greater understanding of the lives and ways of these animals.

Swim with dolphins

For those who are a little more adventurous, you can opt for an encounter that allows you to be pulled along through the water by these gentle giants and even propelled through the air by nose power!

We can vouch you’ve never felt anything like it.

Learn from expert dolphin trainers

The trainers will also answer questions about the operations rescue programs, so make sure to take note of the complex’s contact information, so, should you ever spot a beached dolphin, they can rush to their aid to get them back in the water or nurse them until they can return them to the sea.

Some dolphins who are too hurt to return to the open water will be taken care of and housed by the team.

No jewelry, phones & cameras

All jewelry, especially rings, and bracelets, should be left behind because these can scratch or hurt the dolphins.

Although you may carry sunscreen lotion, you should not use these BEFORE swimming or touching the dolphins or other sealife, for their safety (in fact, to take care of our environment and marine species we suggest you always apply biodegradable sunscreen when entering the ocean or sea at any location).

Also, we ask that you leave all waterproof cameras and cellphones behind as well as they are a distraction and can cause an issue in the encounter, but not to worry, our professional photographers and videographers will make sure to capture your amazing moments throughout the day and can provide you with copies before you leave the property for a fee.
